Welcome to the web site of the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, the third major campus of the UPR.  The Medical Sciences Campus is entrusted with teaching, research, and service activities in the health sciences. These activities are carried on at the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, and the College of Health Related

The Campus fulfills its educational mission through a wide range of academic offerings in the health sciences, from baccalaureate to post doctoral degrees. The students formative process is attained through a variety of interdisciplinary, professional and academic programs conducted in the classroom and at multiple service centers in the public and private sectors in Puerto Rico.

In its quest for maintaining a forefront scientific and academic position and to enrich its resources and services, the Medical Sciences Campus promotes fundamental research activities. The Medical Sciences Campus is committed to strengthen basic and applied research and to vigorously support programs that will encourage students to pursue research careers in biomedical science.

The Medical Sciences Campus considers that it is imperative that the students knowledge, skills, and attitudes lead to their commitment to the welfare of society. Our curriculum promotes the capacity to work in interdisciplinary teams,creative and critical thinking, and an ethical and humanistic vision that will enable students to improve quality of life  for our people. Educational and research experiences are offered by a highly professional and academically qualified faculty, fully committed to the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and service to the community
